So, a few weeks ago mom starts yelling for me, so I head to the living room and there's a package with my name on it, from Microsoft. Quick open and peek later, and it turns out I won some software in a contest I don't remember entering. Not like that's anything new, I enter every contest I see (Its not futile, I average one contest win per year. Most of the time its little stuff. T-shirt, movie tickets, a DVD, ect.)

Lo and behold though, I won a copy of Microsoft Office 2008: Special Media Edition. The catch? Its MAC OFFICE. ... I don't own a mac. I don't personally know anyone who owns a mac. So, mom said I should put it on ebay, since we could use the cash.

So... thats what I did.

I'm going all fanboyish for this post. Mostly because I'm bored while I kill some time before heading out.

Browsing my fansub torrent sites I came across something that caught my eye.

Fullmetal Alchemist 2: PROMO. Quick download later, and sure enough.. NEW FMA ANIME SERIES! FUCK YES.

I need to dig my DVDs out of my closet and re-watch the entire series + movie now. I really do.

On another notable topic: I'm getting kitties. 2 kitties to be precise. Either today or tomorrow, they got fixed this past weekend since one is male and one is female and they're going to be inside kitties.

Yay. Kitties. I love kitties. <3

Now I just need to decide on names. I'll have kitty pictures once I can find the digi-cam and we pick them up.

So, Microsoft released the first public beta of Windows 7 this past weekend. I managed to snag the ISO and a activation key despite all their little server woes. I needed to format and reinstall anyway, so I figured since I was backing up all the stuff I hadn't backed up recently I might as well give the beta a go.

First impressions: Vista on Steroids!

A little more seriously, its pretty unsurprising that its pretty close to Vista in terms of looks. They've added a lot of nice little touches here and there. I never really used Vista a lot so I don't know what was added and what wasn't. Main reason I never used it was because it didn't like my machine, and whenever I tried running games it was -bad.-

Sadly, the beta of 7 runs leaps and bounds better on my computer than the retail version of Vista ever did. I'm in the process of reinstalling WoW now, so I'm gonna give it a shot and see how it performs.

Here's a quick peek at how my desktop looks at the moment, transparent taskbar and all! (I really love the fact I can make the taskbar transparent. No more ugly ass colors covering up my desktop image.)

I have a few friends I am so tempted to email this link to right now. I wonder how much trouble it'd get me into.

I got four DVDs and 5 books for Christmas.

I'm having an existential crisis. Do I become a couch potato with the DVDs, or a bed potato with the books. My mind is blown.
